- 1.5-2.2 lbs/0.7-1 kg of dried reindeer meat
- 10-12 medium-sized potatoes
- 1/3 cup/¾ dl of rice
- 2-3 whole carrots
- A few pieces of whole allspice
- 100 oz/3 l of water
- 8 oz/2.5 dl of milk or cream
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- Soak the dried reindeer meat for 24 hours
- Boil until tender in new water
- Take out the meat and cut into small pieces. Set aside.
- Pour the rice into the leftover meat stock and boil for 10 minutes
- Add the sliced up carrots and potatoes to the rice and meat stock
- Boil until the vegetables are soft.
- Mix in flour into the milk, and then add to the boiling vegetables and stock.
- Let the soup mixture cook until it is boiling.
- Finally, add the meat and then serve.
