Dry Meat soup (reindeer)


ingridents:

      • 1.5-2.2 lbs/0.7-1 kg of dried reindeer meat
      • 10-12 medium-sized potatoes
      • 1/3 cup/¾ dl of rice
      • 2-3 whole carrots
      • A few pieces of whole allspice
      • 100 oz/3 l of water
      • 8 oz/2.5 dl of milk or cream
      • 1 tablespoon of flour

directions:

      1. Soak the dried reindeer meat for 24 hours
      2. Boil until tender in new water
      3. Take out the meat and cut into small pieces. Set aside.
      4. Pour the rice into the leftover meat stock and boil for 10 minutes
      5. Add the sliced up carrots and potatoes to the rice and meat stock
      6. Boil until the vegetables are soft.
      7. Mix in flour into the milk, and then add to the boiling vegetables and stock.
      8. Let the soup mixture cook until it is boiling.
      9. Finally, add the meat and then serve.
